MVP Sports Australia Pty Ltd was established in Feb 2006 and prior to this date existed as MVP Sports Consultants (est. in Sept. 2002).

About MVP


MVP Sports Australia Pty Ltd is a sports management company that specialises in the provision of professional services to elite level athletes.

MVP also provides consultancy and management services for sporting projects and / or organisations.

MVP's range of services and projects are outlined throughout this web site and include player management, the Adelaide Basketball Academy, "Talking Hoops" radio program and more.

Paul Bell
Director


Paul BellAs the founder of MVP Sport Consultants in late 2002, Paul has an extensive background in the sport of basketball.

Paul has competed as a player and as a Coach throughout the local club system over the last 22 years (15 year playing career at ABA level) and also has experience in the State and South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) framework having represented SA as a player on three occasions and also as an Assistant Coach on three occasions.

Through the various projects of MVP, Paul also has a strong background in media, general management, sales and marketing and knowledge of the NBL and key contacts within due to the Player Management division of the business.

Tertiary qualified with Bachelor of Arts (Psych) and Bachelor of Management (Labour Relations / HR) degrees, Paul's background prior to establishing MVP, consisted of various positions in the Recruitment and HR industry where he developed his sales and business development skills, networking abilities and entrepreneurial flair.



Richard Hill
Director


Richard HillRichard brings a wealth of experience in business and sport to MVP. Having spent 24 years in the real estate industry, 19 of those as principal of his own very successful business, Richard has sharpened his negotiating tools whilst helping thousands of clients purchase or sell their single most important asset.

Richard has a multi sport background as both a player and a coach in Football (Aus Rules) and Basketball and represented the State at golf. Some of Richards achievements include being part of a league football premiership with the Sturt football club, coaching 4 different football clubs to a total of 8 senior premierships, coaching the Eastern Mavericks Basketball club to the 2004 ABL championship, being named ABL coach of the year in 2005 and coaching SA under 20 men to the gold medal game in the 2006 National Championships.

Many years of dealing with, and understanding the needs of sports people together with the skills learnt in negotiating the best possible result for his many real estate clients has helped prepare Richard for his role in representing some of the best young athletes in Australia.

It is Richard's goal to not only secure the best possible result for his clients, but ensure they are in an environment that will enable them to be the very best that they can be.



Brad Ames
US Partner - Priority Sports


Brad Ames

Brad Ames has been with Priority Sports for the past six years. In his role as Priority Sports' Director of Basketball Operations, Brad is an NBPA-certified player-agent and is involved in all aspects of client representation, specializing in NBA salary and contract research and preparing clients for the NBA draft. While researching statistics and promoting clients to NBA teams during contract years and free agency, he maintains contact with all NBA teams throughout the year to find the best fits for players in summer leagues and training camps, as well as continuously positioning clients for the upcoming draft. In addition, Brad deals with all domestic minor leagues, from which Priority Sports have had the most NBA "call-ups" of any agency.

Brad graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He resides in Chicago, Illinois.



Paul Vandenbergh
Consultant


Paul Vandenburgh

Paul has had an illustrious sporting career, having starred with the Woodville Warriors and Central District Lions in the Australian Basketball Association.

He is believed to be the first Aboriginal player to play 300 games in the SA State league and was a championship winner with Woodville in 2000 and the ABA Best Defensive Player in 2005.

Paul also played with Canberra Cannons in the National Basketball League for the 2000-01 season and was a member of the Melbourne Tigers Development Squad in 1998-99.

Throughout his sporting career, Paul has also studied and worked in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs and has an abundance of experience in communication, consultation and liaison roles. Paul has also worked to encourage young people to participate in local sport and identify with positive role models.

Paul has developed an impressive network of contacts from within the sporting and business communities and has a keen interest in all sports, in particular basketball, football and cricket.

This passion, along with Paul's ability to communicate with a large and diverse range of people make him an invaluable contributor to MVP Sports Australia.
